Renovation of the Château de Châteauneuf: the stages of a metamorphosis

charpente restauration 2023

The attraction is open throughout the year, commencing from 29 May 2024.

It welcomes visitors of all ages and offers a visit duration of approximately 30 minutes.

Opening hours are from 9:45 to 12:30 and from 14:00 to 17:30, extending to 18:00 during July and August.

The Château de Châteauneuf has undergone a remarkable transformation to offer an enhanced experience for its visitors. Join us to explore the stages and contributions of the restoration works showcased in this exhibition, where archaeologists, architects, and skilled craftsmen will share insights into the project and reveal their significant findings.

Discover archaeological treasures, samples, and even a scale model of the framework included in the exhibition.

The exhibition space is located on the ground floor of the Châteauneuf tower, with the tour continuing in the western part of Philippe Pot’s residence.

Accessibility improvements made in 2024 have ensured that many areas are now open to individuals with reduced mobility.

The reception and ticket office, contemporary orchard, courtyard, host’s lodge, Philippe Pot Tower, exhibition space, and medieval garden are all wheelchair accessible.

However, the lookout point and the flamboyant tower remain inaccessible, and the Philippe Pot lodge is only partially accessible on the ground floor.
